Attending the 7th Jumpthegap Ceremony in Barcelona
I have participated in the international design competition ‘Jumpthegap'. I presented my project in front of an international jury, where Patrik Shumacher, director of Zaha Hadid Architects, was head of this jury in BCD Barcelona on 17 October. My project 'WCircle' was selected as one of the 3 finalists project at the ‘Jumpthegap Roca International Design Contest' award ceremony. 6,054 participation from 134 countries applied to the competition.
The seventh edition of the international design competition jumpthegap, organised by Roca together with BCD Barcelona Design Centre, has celebrated its award ceremony at the Disseny Hub Barcelona.
Patrik Schumacher, director of Zaha Hadid Architects and president of the jury, gave a ‘jumpthegap talk’ about the future of design and architecture.
The jury that has deliberated on the “professional” and “student” categories is made up of Patrik Schumacher, director of Zaha Hadid Architects and president of the jury; Josep Congost (Spain), Design and Innovation Director at Roca; Vladimir Pirojkov (Russia), Designer, CEO of the High Complexity Prototyping Center KINETICA; Benedetta Tagliabue(Italy), architect, director of EMBT and of the Enric Miralles foundation; Anjali Srinivasan (India), designer, director of ChoChoMa Studios; Isabel Roig (Spain), general director of BCD Barcelona Centro de Diseño; Valentin Vodev(Bulgaria), designer, founder of Vodev Studio; and Ma Yansong (China), main founder of MAD Architects.
